Flair 58x Espresso Maker

The Flair 58x Espresso Maker is a manual lever press that pulls espresso through a full 58mm portafilter without drawing a watt of power. Preheating happens with hot water from the kettle and one of two included preheat caps, open or closed, in place of a powered brew head. A die-cast aluminium frame and stainless steel brew path carry the pressure, with a gauge on the stem showing what you are pulling.

An elongated lever and T-grip make higher pressures easier to reach and hold, while the wide base keeps the press steady as you pull. The pressure gauge sits in the plunger stem, so what is happening in the basket is in front of you during the shot rather than worked out afterwards. Brew path components are stainless steel, with no plastic between the water and the coffee.

The portafilter is a standard 58mm, so any basket, tamper or distribution tool made for a 58mm machine fits straight onto it. With nothing to plug in, the press packs down and travels as easily as it sits on the bench, and there are no electronics to service over its life. Wood accents and chrome plating finish a frame that is die-cast aluminium underneath.
